ARCH 498 URBAN DESIGN PRINCIPLES  - Fall19

     Altınpark excavation area is located in the Basmane district of İzmir, among the historical İzmir buildings. It can only be reached by passing through narrow and secluded streets and is not well known due to its location. Due to the increasing refugee population in recent years, silence, insecurity, and inability to socialize have started to prevail in the streets.

     The aim of the project is to provide a recreated socialization area for Altınpark residents for everyone, and to design an archaeological excavation and exhibition area that will attract the attention of the people of İzmir.
